Difference between the softail custom and the wide glide?

The other day I was at the dealership and I was looking at the wide glide and the softail custom. In comparing the two motorcycles I noticed the main difference between the two is the engine. The wide glide has a rubber mounted engine, while the custom softail has a hard mounted engine. In addition, the wide glide has a regular driving seat, but the softail custom has a king/queen seat that is very comfortable and roomy. Finally the wide glide appears to have external shocks and the softail custom has internal shocks. That’s just some of the difference I noticed. Does anyone have experience on both of these bikes? Am I missing any other important differences?
My buddy has a Custom and he is extremely happy with it. One of the selling features for him was the seat cushion, which is very thick, with the back of the seat giving him a small push towards the front. The seat also allows you to sit forward and you’re much higher on the Custom. However, if you have long legs, this motorcycle might be a bit cramped for you. In addition, if you are interested in after market products, there aren’t many of them for the wide glide. The softail on the other hand has many more after market parts. This may be important if you decide to customize your motorcycle.
