Harley-Davidson : Sportster by Ebay (sold by Ebay)
I built this bike myself with the exception of the engine. It was done by a local bike shop that is well known for it's Shovelhead work. The engine is .040 over with the following new parts: Crank pins and bearings, pistons, SS valves, springs, guides, cam bearings, Andrews cams, single fire ignition, S&S carb, push rods, pushrod tubes, new primary chain and sprockets, new clutch frictions and steel plates, new primary cover, new electric start, NOS kicker cover, all kicker parts are new, NOS oil pump. The rocker boxes and cam covers were polished to a satin finish. The generator is new and has an electronic regulator mounted on the end. The gel battery is new this year.
I added a weld on rear section to the frame. The oil tank is home made, the oil lines are aluminum AN style fittings with push-loc hose. The front end is a 2000 Harley wide glide with a 21" wheel and brake. The fork tubes are 1 1/2" under. The bike has a 35 degree rake and a 61" wheelbase. The seat height is 24". The rear wheel hub is an original that has been powder coated, spokes and wheel are new chrome. 5.10-16 tire. Brake drum and sprockets, chain are new. The bike has an Auto Meter Tach, and a Modle A ford taillight. Every part of this bike is new!
I have a few items on this bike that are not perfect: #1 The front axle spacers are made from crs and not painted or plated: They will rust when you wash it. #2 I originally restored this bike and then went rigid at the last minute, so the back half of the frame is painted with Rustolem, back fender and oil tank too. #3 Bluedot taillight lense is broke already and I've only gone around the block a few times. #4 I built a manual starter solinoid for this bike, push the lever and it starts! I like it, some may think it's strange.
This is a great looking bike that turns a lot of heads. Be different, and ride something besides an EVO!
E-mail with you phone # and a good time to call you. I check my mail at 05:30 and 6pm. Thanks, Wade
