I am helping someone change the fuel filter on 2002 Road King that has about 65,000 miles on it. The inside of the fuel tank is peeling all over. It appears as though the paint is bubbling and possibly some has come off already. My concern is, if too much comes off, it could easily plug the intake screen. This would be terrible. I need some advice on what I can do to clean it. Are there any products on the market that I can use?

Hey Everyone. My friend and I are working on a 2005 Dyna Super Glide and we want to put some new modifications on it. We’ve looked on line to get some ideas, but we didn’t see much. So far, we picked out a new exhaust. We are planning to get a chopper kit some time in the future and would also like to get a new rear fender for the bike. Any other suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have a crack in my exhaust pipe. I don’t have much money and I was hoping it can be repaired without replacing the entire pipe. Does anyone think this can be done? So far I have talked to a few people and they suggested that I go to a welding shop and see if they can fix the crack. However, my concern is whether this is legal. I was informed that it is against the law to weld a anything related to the exhaust pipe. Is this true or is this their way of getting money out of you to buy from them?

I have been talking to some people and they were discussing that Harley Davidson motorcycles are the worst bikes in breaking down and require high costs in maintaining. According to them, oils leaks are the most common problems. Those who were complaining about the Harley Davidson are former Harley owners who owned a Harley years ago. I was really surprised to hear these comments from them. Maybe older Harley Davidson models had problems that were fixed over time. What else could be the reason? Does anyone own a newer Harley that’s 4 years old or newer and having problems with their motorcycle? Are the problems more problematic in comparison to other motorcycle manufacturers of similar cruiser bikes? |

I have a 1997 Harley Davidson FLHTC Electra-Glide motorcycle that produces a terrible exhaust smell. Sometimes you don’t smell the fumes, but on certain days when the wind is just right, the fumes make their way towards me. I decided to do something about it and changed my exhaust tips from slant cuts to Howitzer ends, thinking that the longer tips would push the smelly fumes out of my breathing zone, but it did not work as planned. Does anyone have a solution? Would a turn down tip solve the problem? |

I’ve noticed some people have names for their motorcycle. I never really thought of giving my bike a name, but I like the idea. I’m trying to decide now what to call my bike. I enjoy riding her all the time so it just seems fitting to give her a name that defines her. Does anyone have a name for their bike? How did you come up with the name? |
