Gear Shifter
Motorcycles, like cars, have different gear settings that allow for different speeds. Whereas with cars, the driver usually changes gears using a shifter on the console or up near the steering wheel, motorcycle gear shifters are controlled by the rider's left foot. There are three different types of shifters commonly found on motorcycles, each one different: Drum Shifters, Ball Lock Shifters and Shift Quadrant and cam Plates.
