Getting your Harley ready for Sale!

Are you considering selling your Harley-Davidson?  Perhaps you want to buy a new model or even a much older, harder to find one. There are several reasons why you want to sell your Harley-Davidson, but with all these reasons, you must first ask yourself if your Harley-Davidson is ready for sale. 

If you conclude that your Harley is not ready for sale, rest assured because the following tips will help you get your Harley ready for sale in no time!  Keep in mind that when you follow all these steps, you increase your chances of landing the best sale possible.

Step 1.) Check the aesthetics.

Put yourself in the place of the potential buyer.  Of course you will want to purchase a Harley that looks good!  The exterior is the very first thing that a costumer looks at when buying a Harley-Davidson or any vehicle for that matter.  This is why you should pay attention to the aesthetics before anything else.

Focus on the weak spots of your Harley and make improvements on it. All dents and rust spots should be fixed.  Also, clean the dust from all corners and make the bike appear shiny and new!  In a nutshell, your motorcycle needs to be clean on the outside.  This will give your potential buyer the impression that you maintain your Harley very well, and it will also increase the value of it!

Step 2.) Check the inside.

Most riders invest in Harley-Davidson because of its sound and because it has great engine performance. So, try your hardest to maintain the original sound of your Harley. Promote the sound and the engine during sales.  A great Harley sound will bring you one step closer to the sale.

Step 3.) Check the price.

To determine the proper price of your Harley-Davidson, you should rely on its current market value or on how well you maintained it. Set the price to something that is appealing to buyers but not essentially cheap. The price should be reasonable if you are serious about selling your Harley-Davidson.

Step 4.) Check the receipts.

Any and all changes or replacements made to your bike should be documented by receipt to show your potential buyers.   Make sure to compile all the receipts of these and present them to the buyer.
