2009 Updates for the Harley-Davidson Softail Range
Harley-Davidson has made numerous changes to the eight-bike Softail Range for the 2009 model year. As most of you already know, the Softail family represents the fully realized custom vision of Harley-Davidson. This vision is named for its rear-suspension design, which copies the lines of a vintage hard-tail frame but offers the comfort of modern suspension that is concealed under the chassis.
Common features of each Softail model include the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission, Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) which enhances engine efficiency, a horseshoe oil tank located below the seat, forward foot controls, the classic Fat Bob fuel tank, and the perfect execution of custom detail in paint and metal. Additionally, every Softail has clean lines, a low seat height, and a rigid-mounted, counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B powertrain.
